Visualization techniques are an exciting way to enhance your manifestation powers. It has a good reason why it is so heavily used by top sport stars, musicians and pretty much every person that ever achieved something in their lifes. The sensation of having something you want in your hands, living the moment as it is already here magnifies the fulfillment of your desires.
The meaning of visualization is not daydreaming, don´t confuse it with that! Simulating future experiences with the power of visualization is far from that. It´s a mental rehearsal of things to come. While daydreaming is mere imagine something that makes you feel good for a little while, visualization is the full experience lived in the moment.
Given, maybe your can call it daydreaming superpowered with real life effects. Your emotions will amplify the manifestation process making literally your dreams come true.

The tasty chocolate cake experiment
Imagine a chocolate cake. Think about the texture, the frosting, the moisture of the fluffy cake. Imagine a knife cutting out a piece, putting on a plate right in front of you. You have a little fork and a napkin at your side and the smell of chocolate already fills your nose. Now you cut of a small piece of the cake and as soon as it enters your mouth you feel the tasty delight on your tongue. Maybe you had some cream on top? Can you taste that too?
Think of the coffee or tea you enjoy with the cake. Smell it, feel it on your tongue. The liquid that washes away the main taste leaving just a nuances of chocolate behind. Can you feel yourself into savoring the scenery? Does your mouth start to water while reading the last few sentences? If you did execute this visualisation techniques right, you should.
Use all your senses
That´s maybe the most crucial part to understand. The details must be vivid and the realism breathtaking. If you imagine yourself at succeeding at your goal, you need to feel the deep inner satisfaction and express it! Does your body tingle when you think about reaching a certain goal? If yes, lift that tingle up and make it goosebumps and maybe eve make your shake to the core. Use all your senses to experience the moment.
Maybe you want to use visualization for weight loss? How awesome is the feeling of fitting in the clothes you desire? What are the looks of the people around you, when you confidently walk on the beach in your new swimsuit? Are you already getting compliments from others that tell you how much they envy you for your courage and persistancy?

Train your imagination muscle
If you are new to visualization techniques or didn´t had any good results with it, try to following exercises to hone your visualization muscle. It´s like in the gym, the more you work on your body, the more defined it becomes, the more weights you can lift, the more endurance you develop.
Don´t be pushy with yourself though. Even the masters of visualization needed their time. Maybe you can implement one of the following exercises in your daily routine? It could bring a certain sense of necessity with it. If it becomes a habit, it´s even better since the whole practise will be almost effortless.
Psychologists and life coaches recommend mental rehearsal since years and now it´s your turn to hone your skills and become a master manifestor. Be constistent, be specific, be as detailed as possible.
3 simple yet effective exercises
Exercises 1 – Memory training
Take one of your favorite pics and look at it for a while. Try to find as much details as possible. Next step is to close your eyes and vividly imagine the picture and all the small things in it. e.g. if it´s a picture of your dream house, rebuild it in your mind. Did you had a balcony? How about a jacuzzi or an outdoor kitchen to grill with friends? Use the picture as a starting to point. If you mastered that, try to add more details to it which are not in the picture.
Exercise 2 – Make it visible!
The idea is to imagine something, for the start a simple and small item and see it in your room. The exercise should be done with open eyes and elevates your imagination powers to the next level. An item of choice could be a watch or a ring. See it laying in front of you, again, with as much details as possible. Realism is key!
Exercise 3 – Putting it together
At this stage, you should put yourself in the picture. Imagine you sitting in the house of your dreams, interacting with the interior. Like what do you see at the wall? Is there a picture or another piece of art? Walk around in the house and focus on your emotions and to really feel it with all your senses.
What you want to build is a muscle that says yes to your goals. One that brings out the positive emotions about your goals and work as a reminder of why you picked them in the first place.

1 – Vision Boards or a Vision Board app
Maybe the most prominent technique. It got heavily featured in the „The Secret“ movie as well as from success author Jack Canfield. Sometimes called a „dream board“ it´s a powerful tool to support your manifestations.
You can use a basic board of cork and pin pictures, goals and slogans on it. That way you can easily change a goal you intend to visualize once you reached it and your focus can switch to other areas of your life you want to improve.
The idea of the dreamboard is to bring things into existance. That means, the board should express how you want to feel and how you want to live. There aren´t any rules on what to put on your vision board. As long as it positively resonates with you and your goals, it´s fine.
If you write notes and put them on the board, use your handwriting rather than writing on the computer and print it. It gives the motto, inspiration or motivation a sense of direct energy flow from your mind to your hand to your eyes when you repeatedly see it.
When you are done with it, based on your feeling of being done, you should put it on a prominent space where you see it as often as possible. You don´t need to focus on it, your subconsciousness will recognize the board. That way your mind already supports you from within.

2 – Visualization meditation
If you are totally new to meditation, I just made a beginners guide to start meditation which you can check out here. Meditation is not just for yogis and gurus or a hard thing to do. The opposite is true.
As a starter I would recommend a guided meditation. That guarantees your focus is constantly on the voice of the guide and your mind can´t go wild. Certainly it needs some time if you just begun, but a few minutes a day could already work miracles.
As for visualization mediation, you can either start with the techniques I mentioned in the guide I mentioned above or try a different approach.
Take a sit in a quiet room so you feel comfortable and the prerequisite for a few silent minutes are given. Close your eyes and focus on your breath and consciously inhale and exhale 10 times. If it´s just 8 times it´s ok as well. The point is to calm you down and let your mind rest. As soon as you feel ready, start visualizing your dream life in front of your inner eye.
Think of it like an episode. You can enter your dream house, your spouse comes to hug you and throw the keys of your new car on the counter. Then you go to the living room where a nice dish is already served and you enjoy it with your loved one.
Another idea would be a day at the beach. Whatever it is, you need to feel good in this situation. Feel the present moment being there. Use all your senses to, well, sense your surroundings.
Stay in this perfect world of yours for 5-10 minutes each day in the morning and the same time before you go to bed. Results will follow soon.
3 – Affirmations
Affirmations can be a fantastic support to power up your visualization techniques. If you are new to affirmations, think if them as tiny reminders that keep you on track. They are inspirational and motivational slogans, words of powerful change to stay focussed towards your goals.

You can use notecards like post-it notes and stick them to places you frequently pass by. There is no need to constantly read and repeat them loudly, you subconsciousness will take care of that.
As for to use it with visualisation they are more somewhat of a supportive, preventive technique to use. It´s not necessary to visualize a certain mantra. You need the affirmations to adjust your mindset to eventually become the person that you need to be to reach your goals.
The affirmations should bring you on the right path by releasing old negative influences. Those could be misconceptions about manifestation, opinions about yourself that aren´t valid anymore, malevolent thougth patterns or every other kind of obstacle in the mind that could hold you back .
Example: If you have a hard time visualizing yourself having money and living an abundant lifestyle, affirmations could help. May you think you don´t deserve it, or you aren´t good enough? All those kinds of negative self-perception needs to disappear.
The power of feelings is important in all visualization techniques. If you constantly feel doubt and distress and you can´t really feel yourself into the vision, it´s gonna be a long hard road.
An open mind is crcucial and to be open it needs to be free of hindrances. Affirmations help you dismantle them for a better visualization and manifestation experience.
4 – Journaling
A highly underrated technique to manifest things is journaling. Basically it´s writing down what you want, but with a twist. The most important thing is that you really feel the need to work with the journal. That means, you need to invest 5-10 minutes of your time every day to read your journal and adjust it accordingly to possible changes or add details where necessary.
The more detailed the description of the final goal is, the easier is the visualization. Take your time to do research when you write down the ideal scenario for your future self. When this is done, add your imagination to it and embellish your vision.
Write it down with your hands, don´t do it on the computer! The more of your body energy goes into the desired achievement the better. It´s inherent in the Law of Attraction that if we put energy in something we will receive similar energy in return. Just follow it´s law and your manifestation will come almost naturally.
The main benefit of journaling is the constant reminder of the details and how you would feel when having the house, the car, the partnership of your dreams. Being that specific effects your visualization techniques to become more powerful.
Since you already know in great detail how the future should look like, the written words install it even deeper into your mind, magnifying your visualization energy.
Certainly you can use the described visialization techniques in combination as well. The more energy you put in, the faster you´ll see results.
Visualization techniques support from the Internet
The point is that you might not be able to imagine what is actually possible or that you lack of details. If you never saw a 10M USD home but you invision yourself in one, you need to do some research to really get a laser like focussed energy on your wish.
There are plenty of options out there. You can go to google and simply enter „10M USD house“ and click on pictures to see what comes up. Another idea would be to go to a real estate website from the area you want to live and check their pictures and descriptions.
If you have the chance, get in touch with the real estate agent and ask for more details on the object you enjoy most. The fact that you talk to that person, and even if it is just by email, already elevates your manifestation energy.
As for money you can do something similar. What do you intend to buy in your perfectly visualized world? Want a new car, or some special clothing? Imagine you buying that stuff with your creditcard. Watch some videos on Youtube to see how other people already did something similar. Imagine yourself in their shoes.
Love is another highly desired thing you can visualize. This one could be a little tricky thought because there is a chance you focus too much on a person that is actually not for you. Visualize the smaller things, like holding hands, the sincere smile, the hugs and the feeling of being with your loved one.
Again you can use youtube and instagram for a better visualization. It could give you ideas about what you want to experience with your love and how it feels to do something wonderful together.
Visualization techniques are fantastic tools to work on manifesting the life your desire. The exercises and techniques described above should help you getting to your dream life even faster. Keep in mind that it´s no miracle-cure but an addition to other techniques like meditating or reciting affirmations. It can boost your manifestation process, but you also have to work for it. Think of it as a level up, an astonishing upgrade to your energy and never forget using all your senses while doing it. It´s because of that deep inner feeling the energy level become so enormous.
